A look back by Stephen and Brian Butler:

Brian's Recollections: I recall a scene that wound up on the cutting room floor. We were at a dude ranch and the girl playing my love interest in the video (she later went on to All My Children where she was one of the lead characters for about 5 years) was supposed to run up to me in the stable and jump into my arms. I kept dropping her and falling over. That whole segment was a bit corny anyway, but we all had a good laugh. In another scene (which made it to the video) I remember we were supposed to run and jump into a pickup truck in a railyard. The first take we all started running. Only problem was, I was about 10 yards behind everybody else! We shot the scene over where everybody else pretended to be running fast so that I could keep up. Of course, I didn't find it so hysterical but everybody else did. The live show full color segment was filmed at Club Hollywood in the middle of a heat wave. They tried shooting the scene with the air conditioner on but it dissipated the effect of the smoke machine, so they had to turn it off. Needless to say everybody was sweating bullets! Nigel was great to work with and was very open to ideas or about changing a scene if we were uncomfortable with it. He even called me a few days before we flew out to LA to go over his ideas for the script and to make sure his interpretation of the script was to our liking.

Steve's Thoughts: It was a pleasure to work with Nigel Dick..a nice fellow. Very interesting to go to Hollywood and shoot the video. I think it was a good video for its day. It may appear somewhat dated by today's standards, but I recollect everyone being pleased with the outcome and of course it was lots of fun to see it on mtv...back when they actually played music videos all the time.

The video is presented here in 2 formats. The faster connection you have, the better the experience will be. I recommend the Quicktime version, but I offer both for those that do not want to download the player. The video itself is courtesy of Greg DiDonato. It has been sitting around since 1985 and is damaged for the first 30 seconds or so. The quality gets much better from there, so have patience, let it download and enjoy.
